Skiing Snowboarding

Canada offers the world's ski and snowboarding enthusiasts some unique opportunities. British Colombia offers a great variety of ski and snowboard hills, and virgin winter terrain, ranging from the Atlantic to the Pacific coasts. World class skiing and snowboarding at a relatively low cost compared to other world winter destinations. Students regularly buy seasons tickets to Vancouver's local mountains (Cypress, Grouse and Seymour).

Whistler Blackcomb
Whistler Resort has been rated the number one resort in North American and world re-known as one of the best. With its cobbled streets, outdoor cafes and bistros, unique shops, restaurants and lounges, a large conference centre and excellent accommodations Whistler Village is the folic point and where all the action starts. Whistler Village attracts people from all corners of the world to enjoy the skiing, snowboarding, golfing and sight seeing. Rising up 1,609m (5,280ft) from the valley, the two mountains offer more than 7,000 acres of spectacular mountain terrain for skiers, snowboarders, bikers, hikers and sight seers.
Cypress Mountain
It is a 26 minute drive from downtown Vancouver via the Lions Gate Bridge and Taylor Way. Night skiing, snowboarding, extensive cross-country ski trails, a day lodge, ski school, ski shop and rentals, restaurants and pubs are just some of the hill's attractions.
Grouse Mountain
Just fifteen minutes from downtown Vancouver, Grouse Mountain offers the visitor night skiing, a day lodge, a ski shop and rentals, a ski school, restaurants and pubs, helicopter tours, sleigh rides, The Grouse Mountain Refuge for Endangered Wildlife, and a 91.5m (300ft.) snowboard pipe and terrain park. The mountain may be accessed by public transit.
