Are you prepared for university? The CCEL TOEFL® iBT Test Preparation program is perfect for helping students to prepare for university English entrance requirements at all levels. |
| Overview |
Many students decided to prepare and write the TOEFL test in Canada, Vancouver. Our exam preparation course is designed for students wishing to write the TOEFL test in Canada. Students prepare for the test in class and in our computer room using licensed TOEFL preparation software.
The TOEFL® Internet-based Test (TOEFL® iBT) focuses on four language skills that are necessary for success in an English-based university and integrates or combines them. This provides a better picture of students' ability in a true academic setting. It is recommended that all students who are in the last one or two years of their secondary school take the TOEFL® to get ready for university entrance. |
| Through CCEL’s TOEFL® iBT Test Preparation, students will be able to: |
· Increase their test score to a level that is accepted for entrance to most English speaking universities.
· Significantly improve their confidence as a speaker and writer of academic English.
· Build their functional academic and everyday vocabulary up to a university level.
· See their weekly improvement on tests and quizzes administered in CCEL’s computer lab.
· Develop a level of trust with instructors that will help overcome student fears and other obstacles to learning. |
| What is the difference between TOEFL® iBT and the older TOEFL® tests? |
The new TOEFL® iBT has four sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. Each section is out of 30 points, for a total of 120. The new test focuses more on student’s ability to combine and communicate with language rather than on how well grammatical structures are used. Here’s a comparison of old and New test scores.
