Lynn Valley Suspension Bridge

There are many beautiful parks and wilderness in Vancouver and Lynn Valley park is one of the best. Hike through the woods and enjoy the fresh west coast air. To get into the woods you must cross a long suspension bridge shown in the picture. Make sure you hold on!

Summer Beach Barbecue

The CCEL staff plan 4 or 5 barbeques every summer for all the students and staff. We will go to second beach in Stanley Park where we will have volleyball, soccer, football, and other sports set up to play. It is a lot of fun and a must if you are studying here during summer time.

Take a flying leap! Bungee jumping is a thrilling experience for the more extreme students. The Bungee Zone is located on Vancouver Island near Nanaimo. We take a scenic ferry ride from horseshoe bay in West Vancouver and were there!.

Skiing in Vancouver is the perfect activity in the winter time. There are 3 local mountains and the world famous Whistler Mountain just an hour and a half away.

Bowen Island

Bowen is a small island west of Vancouver. To get there you take a small ferry from horseshoe bay (shown in picture). The ferry crosses Howe Sound and docks in Bowen Bay, a small marina. On bowen there are lots of small shops, and great places for hiking and kayaking.

Movie Night

Make sure you go to movie night with the CCEL student advisors to keep up with the pop culture in North America. Every tuesday night a new movie is posted at the school along with the meeting time and place. Some movie theaters have special glasses that allow for close captioning so you can read the dialog in english!

Its party time! Join CCEL staff and students every Thursday night for club night. We will chose one of the top night clubs in Vancouver and dance the night away with friends from the school. A great way to meet Canadians and practice your slang english.

Tennis Club

Tennis Club runs every Monday in the summer time if the weather permitting. The Canadian College usually uses courts in Stanley Park, a 15-minute walk from the school. The school provides racquets and balls so all you need to do is be outside the college at 4pm on Monday and have lots of energy.

Celebration of Light Fireworks Display

Every year in August, Vancouver host a fire works competition called the Celebration of Light. The Canadian College is proud to bring over a hundred students every year to the end of Denman St to view the spectacular light demonstration.
